What gives you direction in life?
The title of this post comes from a joke I used to tell; someone asks me my sign, and I waggle my eyebrows and say flirtatiously: “Yield…”
As for what gives me direction in life, it’s my artistic projects. Working on plays as a director, writing plays or films, recording podcast episodes or putting audio dramas together, or finding other outlets for my creative impulses—these are what keep me going.
This week a friend from Texas (whom I’ve never met in person but I still consider a good friend) asked me to do some voice acting for something he wrote. Absolutely! That was fun playing around with the lines and trying to get the right character voice for it.
I have been a bit distracted lately playing with ChatGPT and the other AI products I’ve been writing about in other posts. They have yielded what I think are some interesting experiments that I’ve posted on the StoryZStudios YouTube channel (so please check them out: https://youtube.com/@StoryZStudios). But I feel like it’s taken me away from several more important projects. So today I’m back on track, scheduling a film shoot for…soon. Watch this space for updates!
