What do you wish you could do more every day?
When I retired, people said, “But what will you do with all that free time?” This was, of course, a subtle way of suggesting that only working is a meaningful way to spend one’s life and that I’d be bored without standing in front of a classroom every day.
My response was always, “travel and creative projects!” negating their suggestion that I’d be idle. Of course the reality has been less travel, more doctors’ visits, and ubiquitous house projects, but I still manage to do something creative every day (even if it’s only to answer a daily prompt blog post).
But, if I could, there’d be more daily creative work: writing, filmmaking, etc. I’m working on it—before gardening season kicks in, I hope!
