Episode #57 of Audio Chimera contains the third episode of my audio drama series Kid Again, about a man who suddenly finds himself young again and back in high school. The series asks the question: What can he change about himself and his experiences that will make this time around more fun? Having been a total nerd before, he now decides to go to a high school dance and actually interact with females.
I am calling the series a work of Autobiographical Speculative Fiction, a term I cannot find by googling, so I’ll claim the invention. (I can’t claim the genre as original, though, since Google seems to suggest otherwise, that the idea has been around before.) While the framing idea has not happened to me—this is my first time around in this life—many aspects of the story are based in my personal history, which is why I feel confident making it a part of the Audio Chimera podcast.
I won’t yet go into specific details about what really happened, though an annotated episode guide might be amusing even for my casual readers.
