Improv!

Tell us about the last thing you got excited about.

I was very excited about the StoryZ Improv Night. We—members of the StoryZ theatre company—created the event, and I was the master of ceremonies. We had three performers, including one from the audience (though a ringer, actually one of our own), and elicited some honest laughs from the audience. (You can watch the video on YouTube.)

Regrettably, the event was as underattended as our first event, the Open Mic Poetry Night, about which I was also excited. (You can watch that video on YouTube.) So I’m sorry to report that my excitement almost equaled the amount of disappointment I felt that people didn’t come out for the events.

So we’re regrouping, trying to figure out the next event, the next venue, and decide how best to get us in front of people again. Yes, how to get excited once again.
