Band T-shirts

What’s the oldest things you’re wearing today?

A few years ago I heard an interview of Steven Wilson of the band Porcupine Tree talking about their new release, “The Incident.” I checked it out and immediately became not only a fan of that band, but a fanatic about progressive rock music.

As it turns out I’ve been a prog fan since its inception and, as I always say, I have the vinyl to prove it: Emerson, Lake, and Palmer, Rick Wakeman, and yes, Yes, etc. And I loved the new wave of prog exemplified by Porcupine Tree and many other bands, as I discovered them. I especially enjoy symphonic prog, often dipping into the realm of symphonic prog metal (such as Within Temptation and Nightwish).

I also became addicted to live performances, attending two ROSFests (Rites of Spring festivals) and many concerts. And of course, I usually bought the T-shirt. I have a large box of them containing shirts from various bands.

And today: Kamelot, perfect for today’s prompt of “What’s the oldest things you’re wearing today?” I attended the “Haven” tour concert in Columbus OH in 2015, convincing my long-time friend Dennis Thompson to go with me. Today’s featured item that I’m wearing is from that tour.

And I could answer this question every day for several months with another band shirt!

What’s your favorite concert you ever attended? Let me know in the comments, and please like and follow!

The front of the shirt.
The back of the shirt, which luckily reminds me of the year of the concert.

  1. That shirt is Badass! Porcupine Tree is one of my favorite Prog bands since taking over Sunday nights. Slipknot shirts are really cool. Haha someone get me a Mars Volta tee! I keep losing them. Guilty pleasures are Linkin Park tees.
