What’s one small improvement you can make in your life?
That one improvement I could make in my life? Exercise. Like, regularly.
My new Apple Watch, set to monitor my health with the Health app, has been applauding my efforts to move lately while I’ve been gardening. (Although the first day it also told me it thought I had fallen—twice—and was ready to summon help when AI does not help!) And I have been logging my steps for awhile with another app, and luckily that counts stairs since that’s a big part of my walking.
According to my recent semi-annual checkup, I’m in excellent health. My numbers are good, my BP is good (controlled), and the chart on the examining room door says my BMI is also good. But that is on the borderline.
So I need more exercise. A friend lent me a kettlebell, but the time I would best use it is spent writing answers to these daily blog prompts. I do want to go walking now that it’s warm. I did start that earlier, but rainy weather, followed by a cold and then conjunctivitis put a halt to that. Here’s to more walking, and reducing the middle-age spread that I need to reduce and conquer.
If you have suggestions to help me with the belly bulge let me know in a comment, and please like and follow!
15 minutes of sweating each day is simple enough. 30mins walking at least twice a day.
