In the summer of 2021, Latrobe, PA and Greensburg, PA suddenly had workmen everywhere, installing new crosswalk signs. I just saw them last week in Pittsburgh, PA as well.
A quick look shows why I think they are a bit overkill:

Seeing it, I was immediately reminded of the signs about how to wash your hands properly that gave inspiration to my award-winning short film, Wash Hands, Save Lives? Here, I thought, this could be the sequel.
It turned out to be the prequel, actually. Since the ending of Wash Hands is a bit, shall we say, conclusive? this seemed to suggest itself as something that came before.
I gathered actors and filmed on the streets of Latrobe on a Sunday, usually a lazy traffic day, but this day there was constant traffic on the street. We paused so many times to let cars go, it became ridiculous.
The best part happened when someone was walking down the street, saw one of the zombies, and freaked out. Another woman drove by three times, trying to figure out what we were up to. We eventually filmed all the parts.
