Describe your most ideal day from beginning to end.
My most ideal day would begin when I spontaneously woke up. No alarms, no construction noises, no rap music emanating from a passing car. Just becoming awake when I’ve slept enough.
After a shower, breakfast, a couple of quick games on my phone and a new blog post, I’d turn to the business of the day. Checking emails and seeing what needs to be taken care of immediately. Once that’s done, glancing over the to-do list: what can I accomplish today? Finish that script, search for music, prepare that poster.
And that would be the bulk of the day—working on creative projects, pausing for a quick lunch, and eventually making a larger dinner, then returning to the creative. Along the way, I’d connect with friends, checking in, and seeing what’s happening in the wider world through the news.
Eventually I’d sit down and read or watch some TV to lull me closer to sleep after a tiring but busy and productive day. And I’d sleep the sleep of the contented, knowing I’d done all I could in that last 24 hour period to work on my best life possible.
Of course, it’s never like that.
