Bill and Ted’s Excellent Meetup

If you could meet a historical figure, who would it be and why?

I looked at the prompt and said, “Well, duh!” And then I thought I should have some sort of contest for the followers of this blog: Who do you think I’d pick as the answer to today’s prompt?

I’m not sure what the prize would be or how I might get it to you. The old saying, “Academic politics are fought so bitterly because the stakes are so low” might also apply here. Would you clamor to guess simply for the excitement of winning? Or would you need some reward, other than my gracious smile and the satisfaction that you were paying attention?

Oh, what the heck—let’s give it a shot! What’s my answer to today’s prompt and why? Put your answer in the comments and let’s see who wins! (Clue: I’ve mentioned this person incessantly in other posts.)

On another note, I’m a bit disappointed that my video, “I Saw the Face of Jesus (In the Icecubes of my Drink”) hasn’t garnered more views since my blog post, even though I also posted it on LinkedIn. So here’s another chance; think of this as that music they would play with the ticking clock giving contestants time to answer.
