What place in the world do you never want to visit? Why?
In the run-up to the last election, I posted a short video on TikTok, asking, “What are you for?” So many people were posting what they were against, and I thought I’d take a more positive approach. The one longer comment I got was phrased as a positive spin on the negative conservative talking points, such as, “I want the end of open borders,” etc. That rather neutered my attempt at positivity.
So looking at today’s prompt, I see a negative, and would like to turn it into a positive. There are so many places I do want to visit: England, Ireland, and Scotland (and Wales, oh, my!), Greece, Italy, Japan, Australia and New Zealand are among them. Domestically, exotic locations such as the Grand Canyon and Roswell, NM (for the aliens, of course!) beckon to me.
If I were to directly address the prompt, however, I would say that I’d like to avoid places that have rampant poverty and/or are governed by warlords who might come sweeping by in jeeps and create havoc. Certain African countries come to mind, but lets not forget the Jeep is also indigenous to the United States.
Fuck Florida.
