Best Pets?

This prompt reminds me of the old Mac vs PC debate. I say old, though it may still go on; I don’t play it anymore. The answer to this debate question is: whatever works for you.

So the best/worst pet question probably has a similar answer. I love cats and find them easy to care for. I think dog-walking would be a chore, but some people either don’t mind or use it for exercise.

Then there are the exotic pets. As long as they are properly taken care of, great, have what you want.

My pivot on the question is: take care of your animals. One night last summer I watched about 12 cats (and who knows what else) being removed from a house weeks after the owner moved out. A pre-auction inspection of the house allowed me to see what squalor they lived in. No animals or humans should live in a mess like that.
