Which animal would you compare yourself to and why?
A few years ago at a faculty/staff retreat, we divifed ourselves into animal groups: owls, lions, puppy dogs…? I think those were the choices. I chose the academic owl, of course.
But if I could choose a power animal, it would be a chimpanzee. They’re smart, strong, and cunning. And to my perception, damn cute.
Years ago, I was searching for the right stuffed animal to represent this spirit. One day, I found Maui in a store and had to get him.
On a subsequent trip to New York City, I discovered a wall of the same stuffed animal. But I already had mine, imbued with the right personality.
