A few years ago I was at a podcast conference, and someone said, “So when you start working on your second podcast…” I thought that was the craziest thing, because I barely had time for one podcast.
And then, that evening I started formulating my second podcast. It was called “ALegUp4Caregivers,” reflecting once again my penchant for odd and awkwardly-spelled titles; who really knows how to pronounce MUSOFYR when they see it? This podcast would tell stories and offer resources for those who were taking care of someone at home. In the space of a couple weeks I did some interviews, and had enough material for three episodes.
Then of course, life hit, and I barely had time to think about Audio Chimera. “ALegUp”fell to the wayside, though I did incorporate those interviews into Audio Chimera episodes.
Now, as I am approaching the end of season four of Audio Chimera, A former student and friend of mine has contacted me about doing another podcast with him. It would be politically oriented, dealing with issues of the day, both in a serious and then comedic way. We’re still in the planning stages, but it does sound like a fun enterprise.
