Please Don’t Hand Me Your Trash

What is it about women who hand me their trash? Do all women do this? Do men ever do this?

To explain: my late wife would do this all the time; she had some item or items of trash and, rather than walk them to a receptacle, would hand them over to me. And not just me, but even to drive-thru workers, including giving a McDonald’s bag to a Wendy’s person through the window before taking the new food.

My current fiancée does this too, generally without a word. A hand, full of leaves and weeds, or paper to be recycled, or trash to be discarded, is held out to me with no comment. I am to merely take it and dispose of it.

I have never been involved with other women to the depth of these two relationships, so I don’t know if it’s a common thing. So tell if it is.
