As I get older, my knees are suggesting to me that I should live in a one-story dwelling; all those years of Catholicism have taken their toll. At the same time, if I imagine the house that would best serve my needs I would think it would be something like this…
Likely the best choice would be one of those luxury townhouses. This so would be the kind that would be maintained by some company, and so there would be no need for me to do mowing, raking, or shoveling.
On the first floor there would be the garage, where my car would be safe from any kind of weather or vandalism. There might be a little storage, but I hate the kind of garage that can’t be used for actual parking.
The remaining two floors would be used first for living (kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, guest room) but of course there would also be the office and studio. I imagine how I might crank out written works in the former and short films and videos in the latter.
Ideally the internet would be lightning fast so when I upload those items they’re at their destination in seconds or minutes. As for the remaining elements, they’re negotiable, as long as the location is near shopping and I wouldn’t have to drive a long way in ridiculous traffic just for a gallon of milk.
