It’s a Dinosaur!

If you could bring back one dinosaur, which one would it be?

That moment in Jurassic Park where you first see the dinosaurs…very cool! And yet no one had the foresight to realize that, by bringing back the dangerous ones, they might get out of control?

And they forgot this in several sequels? (Which I confess to never having seen.)

So, if we could bring back one dinosaur, it should be the Brontosaurus. Forget the all-devouring biting-fangs-and-crushing tail of the T-Rex, the armored Stegosaurus, the horned and spiky-tailed Triceratops. Oh, sure, Wikipedia says the last two are herbivores, but get stuck in traffic next to them and see what happens!

So rendering of a dino-car collision.

So I choose the Brontosaurus! Though, on further reflection, considering my objections in the previous paragraph, they might also cause some problems: eating too much, lumbering about, and crashing into things.

Maybe bringing dinosaurs back is not such a good idea. Maybe they should work on the Wooly Mammoth instead, which someone is. If that’s a good idea; not everyone agrees.

Here’s a perhaps better idea: worry less about animals already extinct and do our best to keep current animal life (and us) from going extinct.

Thoughts? And please like and follow!

  1. I also choose Brontosaurus. I’ve had my own for fifteen years and it’s actually a year older than me. Her name is “Kitty”. I had to glue her head back on last year but she’s still protecting the household.
