I’m not sure when I started cooking my stir fry meals, but I’ve been doing it for decades now. A mix of veggies, some protein, add rice, and there’s a meal.
The most memorable ones happened in my efficiency apartment in Columbus, OH when I was at OSU. I had two 2-burner hot plates, and made everything on there. Most famously was the day I had chicken but no veggies. It was very cold and I didn’t want to walk all the way to Kroger. So I ventured out to the Burger King, got a take-out salad (heavy on the broccoli), and returned home to cook.
This was always my go-to meal when I had a young woman over and cooked for her. Always for, never with. *sigh*
