Catching Up On SpamScams

They have been unusually busy lately, the “wrong number” scammers that I’ve been talking about for awhile. I don’t know if they need to entrap more for some holiday quota or what’s going on; last weekend I had 15 of them from Friday to Sunday.

Some of them are fascinating from the perspective that, before I can even interact with them or attempt a conversation, their accounts are frozen or deleted.

Some ignore my attempts at improv or distraction.

And still others still carry on valiantly and hopelessly.

And doesn’t that photo just cry out: AI!

I hate to just block them at first contact without batting them around a little bit like a cat with a toy mouse—but who has that much time?
