My latest wrong number scammer put up a valiant attempt at sticking to the script, but ultimately failed in the key principle of improv: “Yes, and…”
You see, in improv, you always take what the other person gives you and then build on that. You don’t go off on tangents, and you don’t contradict the other person. That didn’t happen here.


How dare she say that I, Anna, don’t know how to cook! But you can see how she keeps trying to stay on the script. And the “just got a call from Anna” explanation might work on someone who doesn’t get four or five of these calls a week.
