Pardon me if I continue to rail against the false promises of large sums of money from mobile game apps.
I begin with this image:

They give you $3000 just to sign up? That sounds great! Wait…what’s the small font/fine print at the bottom? I wonder if that’s a disclaimer? Or just contradicts the above statement completely? I once had a student who suggested that when people insert, “But…” into a sentence, everything before the but is a lie. (“With all due respect”?) I perceive an echo of that here.

Here we once again see the English as a Second Language problem. There’s an error in both shots—which immediately suggests that the goal of the app developer is not to make me instantly rich, but somehow enrich themselves. I’d like to know how that works (and I fear it’s code that reveals user data to the corporation, or country, behind the app).
