Eclipsed by Scammers

On a day that was to be dedicated to celebrating the solar eclipse (though only partial here), I was instead shadowed by scammers. Three tried their routines on me but I wasn’t patient enough to play with the first two.

Here’s #1, a classic:

As for #3, one might state the cliche and say, “that old chestnut”:

I was tempted to mention that I was disappointed in not getting my serin gas shipment for the eclipse party and they should be careful opening it, but my heart just wasn’t in it.
